A glass of wine, a soak in his Jacuzzi, a good book and GH's Sean Kanan (A.J.) is ready for dreamland. And if this restful routine fails to put him to sleep, he turns on the TV - and that usually does the trick. Sean lives with his dog Maxx, a chow, in a three-bedroomed Los Angeles house built in the 1930's. He uses Ralph Lauren sheets, covers and comforter on his king-size, wrought-iron, four-poster bed. "You spend 30 percent of your life in bed, so you might as well spend money and be comfortable," he explains. "I like the room totally dark," he reveals, "and I sleep in the nude, so I keep the room warm - alhough I like the sheets cold." If the next day's a work day, Sean says he sets the alarm for 6:30 a.m. and is in bed by midnight. "On my days off, I'll stay awake until I fall asleep, but I'm up by 8:30 to work out." Sean says his dreams are usually in vivid color. "I used to dream of flying, except I could also swim through the air," he reports. And he admits to one nightmare: "I don't hear my alarm clock and I'm totally late for work. Unfortunately," he adds, "I had a real nightmare two years ago - the Northridge earthquake - and that gave me my worst night's sleep ever." |
