He's got blazing blue eyes, a cover-boy smile, and - get this - he can cook. And we're not talking grilled Wonder Bread and cheese, either. Sean Kanan - General Hospital's rowdy rich boy, A.J. Quartermaine - is something of a culinary miracle worker. (The day we photographed him, he was whipping up linguini, grilled sesame-crusted tuna with lemon soy-butter sauce, and a raspberry sorbet dessert for a friend.) "I'd say about the same time I discovered girls I discovered it was a good idea to learn how to cook," says Sean. "I think I was about nine." The result? "Now I can make just about anything. And when I can't figure it out, I can look it up. Cooking is one of the few things you can learn to do from a book." Sean says he puts emphasis on presentation, too ("Food should not only taste good, but look good"), from the mint sprigs on the sorbet to the background music (Bryan Ferry, Sade, Seal). So what do his dates think? "Well, it's definitely a check in the positive column," says Sean. |
